Grinding Teeth

So I am pretty certain that I have been grinding my teeth from the age of 16-17. (I’m 21 M when I had my braces taken out). For the past year, my girlfriend has complained about it. It’s now to the point that my partner wakes up every morning because I grind my teeth too loudly.

Although this is just a hypothesis, I believe that my gums are bleeding because they are sensitive to the mouthwash I use and floss regularly.

So I have 2 questions.
1. Is it possible for teeth grinding to cause gum bleeding?
2. How can I fix my teeth grinding problem?

Extra information: I used not to smoke but only occasionally. I now vape occasionally. The same goes for alcohol. I do occasionally consume alcohol, but it is rarely more than two times per month.

Thank you.
